First time teaching an on line class!
This is my first time teaching on line, but this is a basic coding class and I have been a Certified coder for the past 14 years. Not only am I going over things I have not thought about in a long time but I can also share coding experience and tips to my students. I have a great passion for coding and so enjoy sharing my experience with new and old coders. There are so many rules and regulations in coding if you don't use it daily you forget the information. It seems everyday they are coming out with more and more information so you are always learning. I would love to hear from other Certified coders who teach on line sharing some of your experiences with me.
Welcome to online teaching!!! I'm an RHIA teaching other HIT courses. It certainly takes some time to becomg accustomed to teaching online courses but in the end it is definitely worth it.

I just taught my first online course and I found that I was learning a lot throughout the course not only about the subject and how to present it differently, but also about myself. Instead of talking and lecturing, I was doing a lot more writing and thinking about it while doing so. A unique experience.
I still get a little nervous even after teaching 5 years online. This happens every new session, but it's expected.
Sharon, we are in the same boat! This is my first time teaching online as well. Is it rocky for you? I am enjoying teaching online, but I am getting behind in my weekly assignment grading because I don't have the appropriate books. I am using the instructor's key until I receive the 2010.
I have been certified for only 6 years but have enjoyed coding fully.

I teach online coding for several classes. It is difficult at best to teaching student coding online. Do you have any tutors avaialble?
