Hybrid E-Learning

I need to use e-learning along with, and to enhance, my traditional classroom setting. I am not sure how much I can mix e-learning and classroom learning. I have international students who will benefit from having things posted more on-line. Also, when students miss a weekly class, they need access to the course to avoid falling behind. Also, most students, even in traditional classrooms, use on-line resources on a regular basis, and express a desire for more on-line access to the course. I have yet to find out how much e-learning I can use with my school's available technology. I am excited and look forward to finding ways to improve my class. I also think it will help me interact with students who are shy in the classroom.

Simone,

I teach all of my "traditional" courses in a hybrid model and I love the flexibility it gives me. What are some of the things you like about the hybrid model specifically?

Hi Julia,

Hybrid learning, or blended learning are ideal. It's a great way to accommodate students and offer an enhanced learning experience.

Hi Julia, my son goes to the University of Central Florida and all of his courses are available online or the lectures are streamed live, so he can watch them in his dorm!! This is definitely a trend in traditional institutions who have more students than seats!! If you are going to deliver a blended course, the most important consideration is what to deliver f2f and what to deliver online. It really depends on the subject and the type of activities that you have developed for your course. Tina
