how do we teach students, when the have no knowledge of computers?
Well I find most of them have computer knowledge. even the older ones. but we could assist them as needed.
When I first started teaching online several years ago, I had several students who were not familiar with computers and had difficulty completing the course. I taught these students some computer basics and then referred them to a tutoring center that could teach them additional computer skills. However, I have not recently had any students who have had difficulty with computers. Most are now proficiently computer literate.
I think it would be very difficult to teach a student online who does not have any knowledge of computers. Usually that is minimal expectation to take an online class. Have you run into this situation when teaching online classes in the past?
