I don't blame you. I do for fun but I am not a game player or a consistent "poster". I do find this "selfie" habit will help the professional image of many of our students. We will discuss this with my freshmen. . .

Hi Steven! I don't facebook either. I spend a lot of time working electronically as well as teaching electronically. I don't feel the need to have other electronic relationships as well.
Most organizations have a facebook site, as well as twitter and some other options.
I think there are benefits to social networking, for classes and for businesses, but I don't feel the need to participate in them myself!

Why would you avoid tools that students will be using in their professional lives? You don't have to use them all, but it is wise to make sure you know about them and educate your students.
