How to avoid abuse in social media

Using the social media means we do not have control on it. What we will do if we spot an abuse through text, pictures, bulling, ...etc

yes, you have to do that. I actually provide examples of poor posts and good posts. Students must be aware of inappropriate behavior and the consequences.

Well if we set up a group page on Facebook for example we have admin rights and can delete posts that are inappropriate in nature. Of course letting the students know ahead of time of what is considered inappropriate behavior is a crucial first step.

You do have control of it. You create a rubric regarding your expectations of social media. You can lock and block certain people. It doesn't have to be open to the public.
