Having a Rubric for a Discussion post could help the students be more clear and detailed about the information they want to post. If a student is given a low score, the instructor can have the student review the Rubric for what is expected on the assignment.

Rubrics are valuable grading tools because they allow for consistency and clear expectations. However, it is important to remember that they may need revising over time. You must take the time to reflect on your own work, just as you are asking the students to do, and make improvements where necessary. These changes could be in the content goals or the wording of the rubric.

I am an English teacher, so I use rubrics all the time. I will be working to individualize the rubrics more to each assignment.

I have found rubrics to be highly benefical in giving the students a roadmap to follow for assignments. I will continue to utilze rubrics to ensure course objectives are being met.

Rubrics are an important part of the teaching process but they can be time consuming to create. I am looking forward to using rubrics in my courses as they will benefit my students and me.

When students receive rubrics before completing the assignment, they understand how they will be evaluated and can prepare accordingly. Developing a rubric and making it available as a tool for students' use will provide the scaffolding necessary to improve the quality of their work and increase their knowledge.

Rubrics give the students a guideline.

I find it difficult to create rubirics for science courses.

I like the idea of general rubrics that can then be modified for specific assessments.

This module helped me expand my knowledge on rubrics and their purposes. It broadened my understanding of not only the advantages but also the drawbacks of the rubrics.

Rubrics are not only a tool for instructors to ease grading but is also a means for student to improve their quality of work.
