Clear and Precise Communication

I understand that clear communication is essential in the success of those you are teaching or directing or supervising. Everyone performs better when there are clear expectations presented and absolute perimeters defined.

I definitely believe in clear and precise communication. You will not get too far with lack of communication.

I am a firm believer in speaking it and making it plain!

Students don't need a lot of mumbo-jumbo information. They have enough to absorb as it is, so why overwhelm them with a lot of other useless information.

If you make it clear and concise, they are more apt to retain what you said and apply it effectively to the situation.

I am a bottom-line person, so I also teach with that same mind-set. Give them the bottom line and every now and then throw in perspective and theory and in creates a great fun, enthusiastic atmosphere that they can understand.

I find that clear communication at the initial meeting with students clarifies your expectations of the what to expect in the course. Continuous communication also allows you, as the instructor, to change course if need be.

A clear communication represents the start of an achieved goal

Taking time to evaluate what you want and how you would like it accomplished prior to communicating it to your students is important in getting the results you're looking for.

I find that when I communicate clearly to my students I get a better result in production from them.
