Writing for Results
I found this tutorial quite informative. The simple act of writing an email can sometimes be difficult. I plan to use the ideas and suggestions I learned in all areas of my life.
Thank you so much for such an enlightening tutorial! Writing for Results showed me that while writing complex sentences with several different ideas contained within (like this one) can impress certain readers, it can also confuse others. It's also nice to be reminded of the importance of spelling and grammar in an age where their decline surrounds us, especially online and among the internet-savvy.
I agree that this tutorial was very helpful in reminding me to keep my e-mails and other documents concise and clear.
In writing e-mails, they can be challenging, especially when trying to get the point across. I will state the big ideas first, in order for my readers to understand the purpose of the e-mails sent.
excellent short to the point
Your comments are accurate in my case too. I found this tutorial to validate my thoughts on written communication.
I daily read e-mails from a person in a supervisory position. The e-mails are full of grammar, spelling and usage errors. I feel embarrassed that my company does not take the time to train this person in improving his/her written communication skills.
The part of the training which indicated that poor technical writing skills can cause the reader to lack confidence in the organization's abilities was especially affirming.
Ellen, I agree that this tutorial was quite informative. Writing is not a simple act. I plan to utilize the ideas and suggestions learned.
