Presentation

I have found that students are learn more and are more engaged when they experience a lecture with an interesting hook scenario.

keelan,
and as you demonstrate here, we need to remember to use a variety of methods to keep our students engaged.

Dr. Ryan Meers

the more we keep the students engaged with the class through presntations, questions, discussions etc, the more they will get from the class

I agree. IT is important to keept students engaged

Juanita,
I agree with you, especially in regard to the questions. Recently I've become a huge proponent of the power of questions in many things we do.

Dr. Ryan Meers

I think "hook" is a good way to move through a lecture and get students engaged, but I also find that introducing familiar material and directing questions to my audience helps pull them into the lecture and not make it feel like a classroom.

Shayla,
Yes, the more we can use that "hook" to engage our audience or students, the better off we will be.
