Presentation Skills
Presentation skills are both innate and learned. Speakers need to practice in order to develop their presentation skills and to loose the fear of presenting. Presenations can be a great tool when teaching new concepts and methods to students.
a well design presentation with a balance mix of resources will created a long lasting impression on students aiding in the recall of learned materials.

this can be a helpful way to engage them in your presentations.

Sometimes I give students multitasking activites, because they are accustomed to doing more than one thing at a time. So Just lecturing or doing an in class assignment is not enough to occupy them.
I have been giving presentations for many years and it's necessary to keep the content fresh and exciting. The main message remains the same, but you must inject new energy into each presentation you give. If you are no longer interested in what you're presenting, how can you expect anyone to buy in to what you have to say?
I also agree with Luis' comments related to presentation skills being a combination of both learned and innate skills. Personality style and temperament almost definitely play into how comfortable someone is in front of a large group, yet just because someone is introverted does not necessarily mean they will fail in terms of public speaking. Visualization has been an incredibly useful tool for me.
I agree with you, Luis. In addition, using technology to do presentations can help engage students, since we are in the world of emerging technology.
