Employee Diversity
Some may argue that having diversity can slow down decision making and work flow, I have experienced that diversity produces more well rounded decision making and confidence in work flow because more angles and avenues to success are considered in decision making.
I agree here also. We have a very diverse instructor group. Not only are the students exposed to the varied experiences and knowledge (very important), but they also serve as role models to our students. Many students relate to this, as they can envision themselves as working professionals, just as their instructors are.
In working in the corporate world, I know delegating is crucial. Not only are tasks completed, but pride is developed as a team. In my experience pride is associated with a willingness to accept instruction and perform to the utmost. Whether it was a speaker, a podium, a broadcast studio or a simple hang and bang projector in a classroom, the job would be seen through to the end, with every detail being checked and double checked.
I agree, diversity is not only important in the world but even more so in education.
In the book Kingdomality, the awesome power of different minded/skilled groups is highlighted. Essentially, we all have different traits that are required to get a task done, so a good leader must recognize those traits and call upon those who care specialists to do certain things. Proper delegation with consideration of diversity can lead to stronger results, teams, schools, companies, etc.
Employee Diversity in education is very important as it exposes the students to the varied experiences and knowledge of the instructors.
I agree with this. Not all people think the same way.
