Open discussions
Having open discussions between students and faculty increases awareness of subject matter. It also sheds new light on other areas that students need additional training or interest.
How have open discussions impaced your environment?
It's important to students to feel an ownership of the learning process. This can be accomplished with open communication between the instructor and student. The instructor is the content expert but can always tailor the learning activity to be more effective, this requires knowledge of his/her audience.
Open discussions is very important between teachers and students because that’s the only way that we know if the student is learning or not and we can hear the student opinion about the topic.
