Coping and stress

I use an exercise that enhances my coping ability. I place myself in the longest line at the banck, grocery store, etc and create useful ways to utilize the wait time.

Dave,
I once had a Highway Patrolmen tell me that if I am a hast driver and lane change plus speed that we actually save about five minutes to our destination. When we are hurried and stress it is a moment where we leave ourselves more vulnerable.

Kelly, that would drive me nuts. I get in the shortest line, jockey from lane to lane etc... Unfortunately these actions usually create stress since the line or lanes I pick slow down once I get in them. Only when my stress hits a certain point do I deal with it. Usually starting with breathing. Low levels of stress I don't usually deal with, they work out.

kelly,
You are an amazing person. This is usually what creates stress for most people. It is a great way to develop your skills with tolerance. Good for you!
