Marketing Tools
As an office, we sat down and compiled a folder of all the marketing tools that the perspective student recieves once they inquire here. This was and is helpful as there are so many pieces. I now know when they recieve each piece and what the piece entails. This was extremely helpful to everyone in our office

We need to understand what brought the student to our school in the first place. Marketing is the first step. There was something in that marketing strategy that peaked their interest seriously enough to follow through.

That would be very helpful. I get many calls where the persons states they saw us on this commercial or read something about us here... I have no idea what they are talking about.

It is very individualized to your particular school, program offerings, and location. Finding the right marketing mix takes research and study.

As I start the Marketing process to attract prospective students, I am learning from the experienced posts here. However, in my community radio promotions are very effective,as well as presentations in person at some popular events. I am interested in knowing how many marketing tools an institution should employ?

Finding out how they became interested in your school is the beginning of your conversation. It leads you to the path of understanding.
That is an excellent idea I always have students who show up to my office stating there interest and I never know where they come from I always open the conversation by asking, "How did you hear about us" this is an effort to see which marketing tools work the best. Also, we have alot of marketing that goes out and are never updated on whats new. I thought the marketing suggestions opened up some new knowledge for me. I realized how important marketing is for the admissions department.
