Required Admissions Training for all admissions staff
I am very interested in this training. It is a good step to educate professionals on the dos and donts of admissions. Furthermore, it provides more institutional responsibility to train.
Phoebe.
It is important that we follow best practices no matter who is watching.
Part of my training is to observe other Admin Reps and the main thing they are concerned with is not misleading or lying to potential students.
We do not give false promises or discuss any numbers that aren't printed anywhere.
This Admin Training explains the reasoning behind most of the practices in my office.
Kathleen,
Being professional means keeping up-to-date and getting training.
Training on regulations and best practices to stay within compliance is always an important element in admissions. It also helps the reps to stay at the proffessional level when representing their schools.
Elizabeth,
By leaving out important information can be considered misleading a student.
I thought this training was beneficial because it reinforced the importance of staying up to date with the regulations and policies. It also reminded me of how important it is for me to discuss and cover every aspect of the Admissions process when interviewing my students.
Julio,
Responsibility is a key word!
CJ,
Being informed makes us also more confident and assured. This transcends to our students.
Carleen,
The benefits of training are many. Thank you for your post!
This was a very good lesson on the proper way of admitting students into a facility/institution.
I was actually excited to get started on this training. I'm proud that I work for a school that keeps its employees looped in and abreast of what's going on within and what is taking place outside of its walls. Being informed makes my job that much more rewarding.
