marketing technique
What is a good marketing technique that can help me bring in prospect students? I have used charisma, which has helped me so far, but I would like to know if anyone has any more tips.
Denise,
What a great idea! This gives an open forum setting to ask questions and connect with others.

Chris,
It's all in the details and capturing those marketing memories that linger beyond the conversation which brings them back.

We schedule group information sessions for prospective students to attend. The group dynamic lends itself to excitement about enrollment. In a group setting questions are asked that another student may not have considered, but they find the answer helpful in making their enrollment decision.
You need to think outside the box, while staying within the guidelines that are set forth for you. Try to think of something that would catch the attention of the reader that would entice them to follow up with you to get more information on whatever program you are offering.
Margaret,
Many schools work high school career events or workshops with guidance counselors. Providing information from our schools and our sector needs to be given to the students prior to graduation. It is an important time of their life.

ronald,
Honesty and integrity is key. Prospective students rely on you to bring them the most thorough information so they can make the decision that will change their life.

A good marketing stratigy would be to market to high school graduates. Give a talk to the Senior class during career week about your school and the benefits of your schools curriculum, professions and/or reasons why they should attend your school.
It all starts from the first time you communicate with the prospective student whether in person or phone conversation making them feel comfortable by being honest with your information.
Claudia,
Your are creating a comfort zone which is a good lead source.
Usually for me it is asking open ended questions and this gives me a better understanding of who the student is, and what has hold them back from taking that step of commitment. Once this rapport is establish, then this student often times is a good referral source.
Matthew,
Absolutely! Honesty and integrity always wins.
Irma,
You hold institutional knowledge that few can boast. Outstanding!
Be up front and honest with your advertisement. Don't focus on what other schools that you are in competition with has in their advertisement. You may find yourself trying to out do them and get yourself into a gray area.
Attending classes helps. I've taken 2 out of the 3 programs we offer and it absolutely helps. I can talk about my experiences and the prospect students relate to me more and it makes them more comfortable.
Ruth,
Getting the answer to "what's in it for me?" is how we direct marketing. Try different functions, referrals, enthusiastic environments which bring the answer, "I want to be here!"
