Admissions Consulor also is an Instructor
Is it ok for an admisions Advisor to also have a position as instructor
Huichi,
Staff conducting admissions activities must meet CIE rules. The term counselor is not approved by CIE.

We don't, but in the event the admittance counselor is not in or otherwise unavailable, the Instructors signs potential candidates (Students) up for courses. I sure hope that's allowed!
Huichi,
Yes, in small schools the roles may be shared. You are not, however, use the term counselor.
Patty Aronoff
I certainly hope it is allowed, 'Cause the private school, I work at is very small with a staff of 3, including 2 instructors, and often times, we each have to fill in for different positions, including but not limited to acting as a Admission Counselor!
Yes, I believe that is fine. Im actually the color specialist as well. The hardest part is trying to find time to balance both.
Carolina,
We should not be using the title of counselor as it connotates a very different profession which has specific training. Additionally, we should never enroll a student if it is not in their best interest.
Patty Aronoff
There are no rules, but being an instructor and also an admission counselor can give grounds for possible misconduct such as enrolling students who cannot really or rather are not ready to take the class. Further, if an admission's rep is compensated based on the number of students;for example a commission, this becomes more of a burden.
NORMA,
There is no rule that you cannot hold two positions such as these.
