THE INFORMATION MUST BE EASY TO UNDERSTAND WITHOUT ANY HIDDEN FACTS

Elery,

Never be shy in letting another check the work. Compliance is first and foremost. Those extra reviews are critical.

With this new training sessions it has allowed me to definitely understand the process used to have everything approved once, twice, even three times.

Elery,

All marketing materials are very important for fair consumer practices. Having preapproval is conducive to meeting all the standards for fair consumer practices.

I have been in my institution for about 2 months now and I have noticed that all marketing material and advertisements are pre approved through many hands in order to avoid any such problems. All my initial training was always directed by our School Catalog. It was such an important fact that was repeated constantly in order for me understand the gravity of keeping our school's licensure.

JENNIFER,
What an enlightening story! There is so much power in the holding of knowledge. When a person abuses that power and plays the unsuspecting, they should be held accountable. Our students must be able to trust the information they are given.

Patty, I agree with you. I have come across at least one student who has been misled in order to enroll in a program. One of my family members, for example, was intructed that he was signing papers pertaining to a financial aid school grant, but it turned out unknowingly to him, that he was signing student loan papers. He was so eager to get into school, he signed the papers, relying on the representation of those school admission staff, that what they told him was the truth. As a result, he suffered so much financially in the end.

I agree Patty, it is so important that we do not mislead prospective students with the information we put out there.

AZRA,
We must always make sure students understand and nothing is withheld. If we withhold information, it is no different than misleading the student which is against the law.
