Why not to look desperate during an student qualification process

We are in the middle of a crisis. For some this is the worst and longest in the history of the USA. Our schools are affected with this reality and we have to be more careful on this times.
When you see that days goes by and no one knocks your door or dial your number in order to get information about your school programs, prices, plans or any kind of information, then you start to panic. When finally a prospective student walks in you see the light at the end of the tunnel, and then is when you are more vulnerable to make mistakes.
Perhaps this person is not qualified for any of the school programs and you can not avoid this fact and act like you are not aware of that. People have to meet all qualifications, you have to check every point, you have to get everything well done because this can put your school license on jeopardy and also your school reputation.
Think about new strategies, new advertising campaigns or just a new design for your front door. The answer for recruiting new and qualified students is closer than you think.

Angelika ,

Think of that person across the desk from you as yourself in an unfamiliar situation seeking information from person you have not met before. You rely on that person for accurate and honest information so that you can make a decision concerning your future and your career.

It is correct that this student may not qualify but we could assist the person to find out what he or she needs to do to qualify and he or she would be a candidate for the next term. Caring for the person in front of you is a way of advertising and this person may has a friend who would qualify.

Gretel,

Thank you for sharing your perspective. Our sector provides a valuable educational opportunity for our students. We also contribute greatly to our communities and the workforce. It is through continued excellence in recruitment and admissions that will bring this to the forefront.
