Institution is being developed
My institution is just starting to be developed as a college-we have not yet submitted our paperwork to the Commission for approval/accreditation.
Apparently one of the requirements is that we have an admissions person who has successfully passed this course. Is that true?
I have no background in formal college type admissions. My background for the institution I work for has been to process applications for our summer programs for youth and also our adult education programs.
I believe this course will not only help me with that but also once my institution is accredited.
Is it important that I be involved in this development of a new institution?
Shane,
Yes. Most schools supplement with their own proprietary courses.

David,
Our School is also in its developmental stages. While I am experienced as a program director, my current position also include overseeing the other departments eg. admission, student services etc.
I appreciate the information provided thus far in this course and based on the stated objectives, I can certainly use this information for self and staff management to ensure compliance.
Is this the only CIE required course for admission staff?
Shane
Thank you. We are working real hard to make this happen and help many in our community.
Frank,
Thank you for your feedback. Best of luck on your endeavor!

David,
It is important that that you are well versed in the statutes and rules that govern your school. Florida is a consumer protection agency and in protecting the student, it also protects the school.
