Admissions Training
I believe that training is a very important aspect in order to be successful in any career, but is it fair to say that training is required each year because the laws are constantly changing for institutions?

Training is necessary to keep us on top of changing information. Whether new to admissions or with many years of experience, there is always something new to learn.

I honestly think that training should be done every six months. I think that beacause the laws change so frequently once a year is not an adquate amount of time to be able to update your knowledge and stay refreshed

We need to take professional development opportunities regularly. There are many ways we can keep informed and continue to develop in our roles.

Employee development is the key in this industry. There are many tools and resources available to provide the information but if the employees are not taking advantage of the resources, it's not likely that they will be up to speed 100%. Weekly professional development time is adequate time.

Training should be conducted whenever the laws change. Many organizations believe in refresher training to make sure the employee is well versed. Refresher gaining is also used as compliance.
