Best Practices for Admissions staff

Always work to help the potential student reach there desired goals not what is in the best interest of yourself as a admissions rep.

Ana Maria,
Congratulations on your milestone. Institutional knowledge is an asset that cannot be found in a book or put on a certificate, it is one that has stayed with the institution and knows it through your own experience.

I have been an Admissions Representative 26 years and I'm not planning to retire yet. I find that I need to learn at least one new thing every day to be able to provide a better service to my applicants. The best Admissions practice is to provide the needed amount of accurate information to our future students so they can make an informed decision about their career opportunities. We need to update ourselves regularly and these particular courses are great to keep us informed.

Jeff,
It is our best interest to do so. If the school is the right fit for the student, then they will persist in their education. Continued enrollment and completion of the program means success for both the student and the school.
