Accredidation and transfer of credits
What are the pros/cons of nationally versus regionally accredited schools?
Jocelyn,
That is true in some cases. For example police departments are primarily interested in regionally accredited degrees.

Pamela,
It really depends on the program offerings that your school provides. For example there is accreditation specifically for cosmetology.

If someone wants to work for a public educational institution, or government entity, they are typically required to have a regionally accredited degree.
National accreditation is great for specialized fields who also hold program or specialized accreditations that lead to licensure or certifications.
