Admissions paperwork
It is imperative that there be a logical flow in the admissions paperwork process. More than the admissions staff eyes should go on this paperwork before submittal.
Darryl,
Samples are also an excellent tool. It gives a picture example to the correct way!
I have worked in Admissions for several years with many different proprietary institutions, ad they all have about the same documents but just tweeked or changed ever so slightly. I have found it very important and neccesary to have a checklist of the different required documents as well as a sample of what line need to filled out,and what information needs to be provided on each line.
Sheila,
Congratulations! The hard work is paying off!
In our school our admissions paperwork is triple checked and checked again. Compliance is taken to the extreme. All i's dotted and t's crossed! I guess that's why we havv been providing education and have kept our accreditation in Florida since 1981 :)
Antonio,
Whether electronic or hard-copy, paperwork is extensive.
Dale,
We need to have our work double checked for compliance.
Kenrick,
It is a way to make sure we are compliant and on track.
I agree as well. In that way we can ensure we have the correct information in each file.
Yes the more eyes is better
The admissions parework "is" a an essential part of the admissions process. I am in agreeance with the statement that the paperwork should be viewed by more parties than just the representative. By doing so key information can be effectively viewed for correction, confirmation and/or completion. Student starts succesfully.
Samantha,
Many schools adopt the same process. It has proven to be advantageous in keeping compliant.
I think it is very important to have a flow to the paper work. In my position all I do is the paper work for the students. When the admission rep’s where doing this paperwork a lot of things were bring over looked and missed. It was a great move for the company to have one person making sure all the paperwork is done and done accurately. This way everything is uniform and there should be nothing missing from the files. However, there always should be a second, third, fourth pair of eyes on the files to make sure everything is correct.
You always need a second fresh set of eyes to properly audit something.
Julio,
The more eyes to audit, the better.
