Digital Admissions

Are there instatutions that have total digital admissions processing using today's advanced technologies? Such as having all parties signing the enrollment agreement form.

Catherine,
There are rules by CIE that pertain to non-traditional education. Refer to the forum for additional posts by other schools.

Are there any differences in the admissions process that online institutions need to consider? I can see the importance of all the specifications listed in the enrollment agreement and catalog. I wondered if any online representatives have encountered any particular problem areas that they would like to warn others about.

Latoya,
Technology certainly has its benefits.

Almost all of the paperwork at our institution is done in a digital format. We have our students esign all the documents and print copies of the signed documents if they need them. The best thing about this is that it makes everything easily accessible and the student also has access to all the documentation that they've signed.

Dale,
Many people are very comfortable with online.

Yes many of the online admission are done digital and it work great

Also with the use of e signatures it reduces the amount of paper that is being used as well, which is a extra incentive because it helps to save the enviroment and money

Andrea,
With e-signatures the student is indicating by checking a box or writing with a mouse that the signature belongs to the applicant.

Many insititutions particularly Online Colleges have the capability of using e-signature. This makes document collection more efficient for the student and the college.

Dennis,
Yes, many of the major online institutions have well designed, totally digital admissions that are compliant and very effective.
