The Catalog
The Catalog is the best tool for prospective students because it provide them with the information they need to make smart enrollment
Antwan,
Absolutely! Putting it all out there is the right direction to take. Later, they have a better understanding because you took the time to outline important policies and procedures.

Having a catalog that outlines, who we are, the services we offer and the expected outcomes for students are a must. I think the more information we disclose to student and prospective students helps to eliminate issues later down the line.
Ricardo,
The catalog is not only the resource of policies and procedures, it is also the second half of e contract with the prudent. The combination of the enrollment agreement and the catalog constitute the contract.

Renae,
The Internet is awesome! Just make sure the edition on the Internet is the same as the paper copy that is also available.

The catalog is such an important part of the student since it includes everything you need to know about the institution. It is very important to read through the whole catalog so you will be very informed about what to expect so there will not be any surprises in the future. such documents that are included in the catalog are: education programs and curriculum, fee schedule, admissions, financial assistance, academic information, and student rights and responsibilities. This are just a few of the topics discussed in the catalog.
I like the fact that we can put the catalog on our website so a prospect can read it before they decide on the school. The internet is awesome.
carla,
Make sure all copies that are distributed are the same version as what is online. Students need to be aware of which catalog they enroll under.

I agree with this. At our school we give them a paper copy as well as inform them that they can access it at anytime online.
Kevin,
The catalog is everything about your school. It holds policies and procedures along wth valuable information on your programs.

As a new associate I found the catalog to be very informative in helping me understand things I needed to know being new to the industry.
Dione,
The catalog along with the enrollment agreement constitutes the contract between the school and the student. Both documents are the obligations and responsibilities of both parties.
Gail,
The catalog is your policy and procedure guide to the school. Students must be given a copy and fully understand it's contents.
It definately is the best tool. I have some new ideas for our catalog now. We are going to add to the financial aid section of the catalog, and the resource book.
