Integrity is about being moral and ethical. We should always be honest and have integrity when dealing with our students. We are providing information that is life changing such as financial obligations, fees and time. Time is valuable and something a person can never get back. We have to give them the proper information so the student can make a good decision for themselves. Integrity will allow an advisor to act in the best interest of the student.
Integrity is extremely important in the application process. Integrity is defined as "the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles." As enrollment advisors, we must always look after the best interest of the student. One of our main roles is to share with them options and allow them to make an educated decision about their educational future.
If you are accredited by the State or by a regional or national accrediting agency, you are required to dot every i and cross every T. As has been pointed out in the lessons so far, you are regulated in nearly every thing that you do, and this means that you must maintain your integrity and the integrity of the school, particularly in the admissions process as you are the initial contact and possibly the go-to person for that student throughout their education.

Without integrity the educational system and basis of what it stands for would be a farce. Higher Education expects, No, demands the administration and other staff members act with complete integrity thoughtout the process.
Integrity is paramount. Without it, my job, the institution are in jeopardy. Also, the student suffers because of misleading infmation and cannot make a truly informed decision.
It should be of utmost importance! Admissions is the face of the school, and what admissions personnel say and do directly reflect on the institution.
