A successful website
After many discussions with the founder of the prototype of our dental assisting school, I realize that a great website is the best tool we have to promote our school and recruit new students. Utilizing a website search engine optimizer is critical in giving prospective students a chance to see what we have to offer via the website. The complicated and mysterious algorithims with which the search engines rank a site is beyond the paygrade of most individuals, and remains not totally readable even to the professionals who earn their living doing just that, but they sure can make the likelihood of finding your site on page one of Google a lot higher.
Melinda,
How your site looks and feels says so much about your school. It needs to be easy to navigate and those entering need to be able to quickly get the information they need.

Yes It appears the my new school has a fantasitic site ..easier to navigate actually than a previous school. I would imagine the look feel attracts modern students as well.. it emulates those we are trying to attract
Andrew,
Many of us use the web as a resource for quick information. A website must provide the information an interested party needs when they need it. We tend to get very frustrated if we cannot maneuver a website easily.

A successful website for any institution should not just be a marketing tool but in my opinion also a successful piece of information for the student.Which can be used to guide them towards the right career for them.
Great points William. We have our web site working double for us. We utilize it heavily as a communication tool once students are in the application process as well as one they are students in one of our programs. Digitization of key information allows for immediate, 24/7 information that we can then follow up on to ensure the best experience and clearest information for everyone. It sounds very perfect world, but it works so well!!
William,
They sure do. We basically have just a ww seconds to catch our marketed audience. The Internet had become to go to source for most people seeking information. Where your school lands in the search can be prime real estate.
