Enrollment Agreement
What happens if a student doesn't adhere to the agreement? By this I mean, a student fails to show up to class or fails classes in general. If the enrollment agreement is a legal binding document what is the consequence?
Dawn,
Yes! So many student experiences are marred because the never took time to understand their responsibilities.
Patty Aronoff
Helmi,
Absolutely! We also need to make sure they read and receive a copy of the catalog which is also part of the contract.
Patty Aronoff
Juliana,
When they sign the enrollment agreement, they are also signing that they have read and received a copy of the catalog.
Patty Aronoff
Exactly, it is a legal contract. Even though a student has read the agreement for themselves it is best that we reiterate what is in the agreement and that it is a legal contract to the student so that we are sure that they have a great understanding of this document.
We need to make sure the enrollment agreement is explained to a student in full detail as it is a legal contract.
The terms and guidelines for missing classes, probabtion and grading policies are stated in the catalog, and the student should be encouraged to fully understand the expecations prior to enrolling.
Sandra,
There should be no surprises. Always transparency and full disclosure.
Patty Aronoff
Every school has its own Enrollment Agreement. This is why student cannot miss orientation day before he or she starts a program. It is very important for the student to be aware of any regulations before they start, that way, they will know what to expect if they violate one of these regulations.
Yusisleidy,
The catalog will specifically address dismissal from the institution whether for academics, attendances, nonpayment, conduct, or other reasons. This is why we ensure the student receives a copy of the catalog.
Patty Aronoff
ashley,
The catalog should outline the steps taken with absences and academic progress.

This is a question i was asking myself. I think it would be that the student will be dropped out of the institution. If there is any other response to this topic please coment. I would like to have some knowledge in regards to this.
