Transfer of credits

It is important to understand the transfer of credit process and how to frame your converstion regarding this important issue.

lori,
It is stated in rule and also required in your catalog the maximum percentage. But the real key, are the credits the same? Is the material the same as what you teach? Are the outcomes and objectives the same. It does take research. You are not obligated to take any credits unless you are under contract with CIE to conduct a teachout.

I know that I have been a little leery of this issue. I have a school in our area that was having issues or closing??, all of the students wanted to come and finish out the program with us, however they were at the very end. I personally do not feel comfortable in signing off on a diploma that you did not spend at least 50% of the program with me. What is our legal options for this? Is it just what we publish?

Shelley,
Statistically, it is not true. In our sector, credits most likely do not transfer. In fact, some schools do not allow any.
