Transferring Credits
Is there a process that must be followed during the transfer of credits?

Official transcripts with a catalog is the best practice. I would not review any transfer credits without official documentation.

At our institution students who claim credits from a previous school must bring in unofficial transcripts for a pre-evaluation. The pre-evaluation is not official, but it helps us to set a possible schedule and possible date of graduation before the student enrolls. This is only an estimated outcome until the official transcripts arrive and the student is fully matriculated.

It is determined by the school and must be stipulated in the catalog. Some schools do not accept transfer of credits. If they do, it is documented by an official transcript and school catalog of the previous institution.
