Catalogs
Are Catalog's required to be in a book form, or can it simply be a print out ?
marco,
I would give out as many as possible. That catalog can bring students back, be passed on to others...just a great marketing tool within itself.

I know we are required to give a copy of the catalog to those who enroll, but are we also required to give a copy to every prospect that comes in and does not enroll?
hadassah,
It is best to have it both ways. Not everyone wants an electronic copy.
Patty Aronoff
Christina ,
Yes, but if the student asks for a hardcopy, we are obligated to give one.
Patty Aronoff
Jessuina,
Absolutely! Many schools use a USB drive for the catalog or it can be downloaded as a .pdf file. Schools are required to provide a paper copy if requested.

I would assume it would be wise for all institutions to have a formal print out and not to rely on a electronic form only. is it legal to only have an online form? that is making an assumption that every prospective student has internet access?
Hi there,
So it is sufficient to give the student an electronic copy of the catalog? Here in California it is required for the university to give the student a catalog at the time of enrollment. Would this be the same for Florida as well?
Thank you!

Catalogs can be BOTH. A book or even accessed online as well. As long as its current and up to date and accessible to the students.
Tamara,
It is required that is is "available" in book form upon request. Also the Commission requires that the paper copy be sent for annual renewal of licensure. Many schools have it available on a flash drive or CD.
