Discussing Enrollment Agreement
I have had issues in the past with students that have read and signed the contracts but still dont understand financial responsibility if they stop paying. I understand that as a student its hard to agree to pay something for a period of time when sometimes you may not make enough money. How can I assure students about this situation and what would be a legal advise I can give them if the do not abide by the contract?

We have an obligation to make sure that our students understand every aspect of their enrollment. Those important details take time to be understood and we need to make that time.

I feel that is the number one issue with incoming students is a miss understanding due to a lack of education. That why it is every departments job to make sure we go over those important details with every student.

This is a great point where your Financial Aid staff has to spend that time not only with new students but with current students and students that drop. They need to educate so that the default rate does not climb.
