Admission Paperwork

What do you think is the best way to train a new admission rep on paperwork

Quintana,
Checklists are awesome! Keep us on the right path for compliance and gives us a quick look as to what is complete and what is missing.

A checklist can be the best way to make sure everything that is needed has been completed and in the file. It is always good to have a checks and balance in place.

William,

Very good advice! We often have no understanding why paperwork is filled out the way it is. You bring an important point to the table.

Madelin ,
You should first conduct the initial training. I would then do role playing where that person actually conducts the interview and completes the paperwork. In the meantime you should always be double-checking their work.

The following are some of the basic blocking and tackling that is so important regarding paperwork:

First, is the education on WHY the paperwork is important, WHY it needs to be completed accurately, and WHY it needs to be easily understood.

Second, having a checklist of what is included in a student folder is of utmost important for ensuring all documents are completed and retained and is a great means to maintain compliance.
