Role of the Admissions Representative
It is very important for the admissions representative to be ethical in all doings. The necessary disclosures must be made to the students before enrolment.
Isidro,
It's a great position to be in. You get to see the students as they first come through the doors and watch them as they progress through their academics onto graduation.
Patty Aronoff
Frank,
You have described it well! Students have a relationship with admission representatives that carry them throughout their educational experience.
Patty Aronoff
I completely agree with you, as an admissions representative we must be aware of all students coming in and out of the school
As Admission Reps, it is important that we understand that we are the eyes and ears for the new prospects. We are the ones who are letting them know about our institution. For the perception given to them, together we can determine if we can create a relationship where the student feels comfortable and well welcome to the institution.
Myki,
We are only creating harm when we are not ethical. Whether you knew or you should have known , it is the student who is our consumer.
Patty Aronoff
Mario ,
We call our receptionist the director of first impressions. It is that beginning moment that sets forth the entire experience.
Patty Aronoff
Myki,
This is the true beginning of our relationships with the students. We are the beginning of the student experience and they rely on us for honesty and integrity.
Patty Aronoff
Judy,
Honesty, integrity, and full disclosure should be our guiding forces.
Patty Aronoff
I totally agree. It is so important because the admission representative is the first official contact of the prospective students (and student's family ) with the institution. It is well known the relevance of the first impression in any relationship, especially in sales, counseling and education. The admission representative needs to be aware of the importance of his/her role for the institution and the student.
Admissions Representatives have to be school officials. We are at the forefront. Pretty much the students buy us. If Admissions representatives do not behave ethically, they sell the school poorly. Misrepresentation of any sort on the path of the Admissions Representative could jeopardize the moral fabric of the institution. This has adverse on the preservation of a good name in the eye of the public. The institution will suffer as a result to this.
I agree 100% with both statements, on ethics and disclosures. We as Admissions Representative change peoples lives. We need to conduct ourselves by following all rules and regulations and not bend in anyway. All documents must be explained so that our students understand 100%. Thank you.
