It's very important to thoroughly understand your institution before attempting to present it to an applicant.
wanda,
Exactly! This person is in a position of trust and has a responsibility to provide full, accurate information.

I agree. Understanding your institution is essential, so the admissions representative can present the institution accurately to the potential students inquiring about information about the institution. The admission advisor is the first person the student will be in contact with when they request information from the institution; if the admissions advisor is not knowledgeable about the institution he or she may misadvise the student.
Kevin,
Having product knowledge s so important and should not be taxmen lightly. Students rely on us for the information.

By not knowing your program at your institution can really cause problems in the admissions process.Knowing you institution training products can make the admission process a smooth and rewarding venture.
I agree with you.If you don’t know your institution you cannot present it accurately to potential students. As an admissions representative, you are the first person that they will come in contact with. If you are unable to answer their questions accurately then they won’t want to attend your institution. You will be giving the impression that your institution is unprofessional and it would be a waste of time and money to enroll there.
Mark,
Product knowledge training should be an ongoing venture. The more you know about the programs, the more you can realistically sell it.

You have to know your product well before you can present it.
John,
Very important! We can easily mislead our prospective students when we guess rather than investigate.
