new leads
I think a great tool for generating new leads is speaking to CAP advisor at high schools and setting up for students to ask information.
Collins ,
It can make you or break you! It can be the best opportunity for referrals or new leads.

I totally concur. Word of mouth can be the most effective mode of advertising.
Sue,
Awesome! The high schools are a wonderful resource.

We are a new school and speaking to high school career advisors sounds like a great idea, especially since we are the new kid on the block!
Xavier,
Personally developed leads are a tremendous value in recruitment. They are free and carry so much weight.

Thats a great idea! But another way to generate leads are word of mouth advertising. In my experience with dealing with people that's the best advertising ever.
Michael,
Having those relationships is a benefit for all. Many companies look for economical ways to grow their workforce. It strengthens the community and the local economy.

I suspect that local staffing companies that contract out employees may often know of contract employees that are seeking an education opportunity in order to contract out for higher paying jobs; sharing such leads may create a win-win for both the contract employee as well as the staffing company (who is always wanting to have the most competitive contractors). Any thoughts about such leads?
Going to conventions work great also.
Great! Thank you Patty. I will find out with my institution to see if we have any point of contact with the high school career advisors around our area.
Odismary,
High school career advisors are a gateway to a student base that may have not even considered your school. Career days are another opportunity.
