Are we allowed to post flyers up at Public Transportation stations like bus stops, train stations, bus stations, monerail, etc?
James,
According to Florida law, we cannot advertise with misleading information. If an ad is posted either online or in print under the help wanted section or employment, we are misleading the student.

Its not that CraigsList and the board are opposed to listing educational opportunities on its site; rather, that it must be listed in the correct section. It is not to guarantee of a position in the field, it is an educational opportunity. It is okay for an institution to promote that it does offer (KEYWORD:) assistance in finding a job if it offers similar services. Am I correct?
Austin,
You are correct! It is against rule to advertise in a job or help wanted section. It must be under education or educational opportunities.

yeah places like Craigslist in the jobs section is a no no both with Craigslist and the Commission.
Chasity ,
Any advertising must clearly state that it's an educational opportunity. Any advertising that leads that a job is guaranteed or placement is guaranteed it's against the rules.

What about advertising inside of Job Placement facilities??
Tarsha,
I was also curious to know whether or not we could post flyers in stations of public transportation. Thank you for posting this question.
Tarsha,
As long as you follow the rules for advertising. See Fair Consumer Practices and Standard 11 for details.
