Advertising
In this module I learned that is very important to have a marketing department that can help delivered the idea out there to the people without sending exxagerating facts.Any tips?
Shawn,
Advertising is the first impression of your school. With technology today, many students will research prior to coming in to have an interview with you. We must be prepared.

Staying with the facts in ads keeps everything on the same page. The advertisements not only help to inspire students to come in or call out of curiosity, but they also serve as a sort-of opener to a dialogue with admissions reps that hasn't started yet. They come in already familiar with a few of the details of what we will be discussing, and I feel it adds an additional comfort level of awareness that wouldn't have been there otherwise.
Melissa,
Very good advise! Advertising is the introduction of your school. The Commission prohibits any misleading information being provided in this very powerful tool.

Brittany,
Superlatives are prohibited by rule. It is best to stay with the facts and provide the research to prove it.

Advertising is a sure way to prevent any miscommunication from happening between you and the prospect. It paints a clear picture of the information that he or she needs to know so there can be a successful understanding of what is required for the potential student. Keeping it simple, short, and to the point.
I know that something my institution focuses on is only giving facts and never using words like state of the art or top of the line.
Frances,
Any type of marketing must be compliant with the commissions rules. No information can be misleading in any advertisement or marketing strategy.
