Career minded and student focused

My institution is incredibly student focused in all aspects from the start of the enrollment process through graduation and in career services.

Angel,

There are no guarantees. The career services department should be working with that student from their first day at school on through graduation to prepare them for interviews and ultimately appointment in their career field.

Jose,

This is why we publish completion rates, retention rates, and employment rates. It is a barometer of your school.

Janet,

Agreed! It's starting your school with the end result in mind. They are working towards a goal. The goal is a career.

Candace,
It should be student first. After all, if we did not have students, we would not have a school. So much of what we do is in helping them reach their dreams.

It is important for students to understand how their particular program can assist them in attaining a position in their field of study, however it is always important to stress the fact that employment can not be guaranteed by the institution. A student's drive and the way they prersent themselves to potential employers is an important factor as well.

For students is very important to know if your academic program is succesfull in terms of jobs nowadays.

I believed that is important to be career minded when talking to prospect students, since their purpose is to have a career. Is in the best interestof th AR to provide factual information of the career and the job market and develop a career path with the student during interviews.
