Student Services no matter the size of the school
The college I work for is not huge, however, we have the best individual working at Student Services. She does so many little things for the students. Always has their wellbeing in mind. It is an important job.

I will say that one of the best things about being a small institution is the type of attention and services we can give to our students and we have a great team in place to help them successful. We work primarily with students with disabilities and so we are fortunate to have the small one on one and small group size instruction in addition to an entire agency dedicated to effectively advocate for this population. I wish all institutions large and small could offer that personalization to their students, it truly makes a difference!

Many times I have been told that graduates not only picked us for the actual programs offered, but because we took a genuine interest in their well being and success AFTER they leave. Love hearing that :)

To me, student services are more about the core culture of the school. A culture focused on student success will always have student services of some kind, formal or not, to help the student get through any difficulty that may hamper their learning. A successfully employed student in a career they studied for, will be how the school's image is derived and its education quality measured. The employed students success is key in today's age of "word of mouth" recognition.
Student services is like the image of the school. If you have good student services, the school image would be very great.
