Interesting that after an extensive process ,it may be determined that life experience can be accepted as coursework

It is a precarious road to travel upon. If you award course credit you are stating the two are equivalent. Not easy.

Honorary degrees are just that, a honor bestowed. They are very different than academic degrees
Honorary degrees are given out this way, but I think they are mostly for publicity.

I found this odd as well until I received college credits for the experience that I gained in the work field. It was considered as 'life experience' because I had the opportunity to advance within the company and travel abraod to apply my skills on a global scale. As strange as it may seem certain life experiences can definitely teach way more than any textbook:)

Life experience versus are tough! Can you compare the two between current education and life experience? Rarely are the two the same.
