Student Lounge

Is the student lounge needed for every school system in Florida. Particularly small private schools like a Beauty School for example?

Stanley,
Student lounges are an excellent place to visit demonstrating community and friends.

The student lounge can be a great place to generate excitement during the tour. If the student lounge area is inviting and buzzing with activity the potential student will be able to feel the energy.

I agree, I feel that the student lounge can be useful for networking, which can lead to career opportunities.

I agree that the student lounge is a very valuable part of the college experience. Students meet there to do homework, socialize, and just take in college life.

I feel the student lounge should be needed for every school system in Florida. From what I'm seeing it helps create a friendly and sociable environment for the students. Also it give students a place to unwind and relax.

Kevin,
I agree. Networking starts at the school level and can last a lifetime. Establishing those relationships and keeping them active will pay off.

I think a student lounge is very important because it allows the students to interact outside the class room tward building relationships. Building relationships is a significant aspect of the education process because working in the real world is all about dealing with people on various levels of communication.

Ayelet,

The student bonding that takes place while in school can be their network of tomorrow.

Brendan,
students need a comfort level with staff that they can speak openly and honestly.

I will usually hang out in our student lounge during breaks to maintain a strong relationships with the students. It's also a great tool to get referrals from current students

althougt its not required, I believe there must be a room or specific place where students can interact and be more casual, get to know eachother. Most students that come from different states or countries need a space where its easier to break the ice and make some aquantances.

Renee,
...and it starts on the first day of class!

Patty Aronoff

So true. Networking is key to acquiring so many different wonderful opportunties. This is something that students learn over time.

Tung,

No, it is not required but provides a valuable part of the school experience.

Renee,

Students begin to bond from the first day of class. These relationships can last a lifetime and can certainly be a huge asset when job networking.

It helps to have one for student morale
