Student Credits....
Just a little FYI....I've seen many students recently, that think there credits are good for a certain period of time but they've came back from the acrediting institution different from there original expectations...this obviously can create an unhappy situation and sometimes is difficultto overcome.....all my best to everyone!!!!
Sherry,
Nursing credits are often out of date in a very short duration. Many schools only allow transfer of nursing credits if they were taken within one year.

I have gone to our state school and the sciences for the nursing program are good only for ten years.
rosaura,
That may be your school's policy. Not every school accepts credits. Rule states that it is up o the receiving institution for the determination of credits.
Patty Aronoff
I have been told the same, after ten years credits are not transferable. I beleive it would be due to the constant change and upgrades to ways of learning and certifications and lisencing.
Hiram,
Every program is different. One determining factor is the current information being presented in the classroom.
Patty Aronoff
If it they are for a Nursing Program they might have a shelf life.
Jessica,
I would not expect so. There is no clear line of when a course is old. Some schools won't accept credits past a year.
Patty Aronoff
I heard that after 10 years credits can't transfer..Is this true?
ALBERT,
Unfortunately, there is no guarantee. Time and curriculum differences are the two biggest reasons for non-acceptance. Every situation is different.
