Staying up to date!
I think staying up to date is important. Our corporat office created an intranet so that we can stay up to date on all current and ne information.

We too have a lot of technology and resources set up to facillitate up-to-date know-how and share the latest polices. I have noticed, however, that if you really want to understand what to do with changes, it's best to develop a relationship with the functional managers at your institution. They provide context and nuance to any policy in question. Changes may not always begin in your department but they will affect how you work within your department and others.

I believe that this is a very important part of my job. Keeping up to date with any new rules, regulations, updates will help our institution to be run in a smooth manner. Any of this new information that I will be gathering will be included immediately into the Resource binder.
