Job Market
Knowing the job market and how it flucuates can help with admissions. Employers in their specific jobs can give you insight and help you better understand the position that the student might be in. Understanding the jobs that the student has the potential to go in allows a better understanding of the classes, and when they ask why do I have to take this class, you could respond by saying how it is training you and developing you for your future career, that a variety of different classes will help them.
MarÃa,
The more that a student continues to seek education and presence for the workplace, the better chance they have in getting a job. Competition is tough no matter which continent they live on.
Patty Aronoff
To get a job is too complicated.
In Spain right now over 26% of the population are desemployed and the unique solution or a good way to spend the time is studiying a Master, languages, specializating courses, etc.
I hope that the situation changes and a lot of people work in a good and respetable job with rights for the staff.
Thank you.
Alisaundra,
Competition can be difficult especially that kind of number. It is important to understand what the competition offers in order to properly discuss the return of investment at your school.
Patty Aronoff
We have over 40 different vocational schools around us so it is imperative that we know our market and what sets us apart from other schools. Our product knowledge has to be on point.
Charles,
Having a second language brings new employability options for your graduates. As you state, our melting pot society is looking for employees with more than one language to serve a diverse population.
Patty Aronoff
Also it is important to encourage students to learn a different language specially these days where most state has become a real melting pot.
Alisha,
We live in a very dynamic environment today. Information changes rapidly and can vary from day to day. Providing resources where the students research their own information is very valuable.
Patty Aronoff
Excellent input Alicia, that is certainly a step one can take beyond the bare requirements which can help an admissions representative maintain a solid base of working knowledge. That wide breadth of knowledge helps one speak with confidence and provide the potential student with assurance that they are truly speaking with an informed and competent professional regarding their educational options.
