Accreditation
What is the difference between "accredited" and "fully accredited". I hear ads on the radio all the time for "fully accredited" institutions but I know that is something we are not suppose to say. Any insight?
Hi Kyle,
I am not familiar with the differences in my experience, but I believe different levels exist in Higher Education programs pertaining to medicine. Levels such as; Reasonable Assurance, Provisional, Fully and Limited Accreditation.
It is going to depend on the terms that your accreditors use. Really, there is no real difference.
Hi Kyle,
When going through my compliance FAQ, they state to not say "fully accredited". It states that there is no such thing as a "partial" accredidation so there is no way to to be "fully accredited"... you just either are accredited or you are not. Has anyone else heard of this?
I agree. "Fully" is typically added to make it sound better, although there is no difference.
Hi Kyle,
I have never heard the term "fully accredited". That term may be part of a particular schools marketing verbiage. I'm familiar with the terms, Regionally accrediated and nationally accredited.
Kyle,
I don't think there is a difference. A school is either accredited or it isn't.
