What are the greatest advantages of Career based schools?
Potential students may often want to know what the advantage is of attending a career focused school versus an open-enrollment college or university. What would you say is the greatest advantages of attending career based schools?
The greatest advantage of a career based school is the time need to complete the courses. With open-enrollment college or university it could take years to complete your degree and in todays economic environment some students may not have the luxury to take that long to get a good position in there chosen field. So with a career focused school they can gain the necessary knowledge to start on a path to solid employment in a much shorter time frame.
I think one of the greatest advantages of attending a career based school is that you are primarily only taking courses that you need to be successful in your career. You also get the support of Student Services to help you out with your resume' and job leads.
By attending a career based school, a student can get the degree/education that he or she is seeking in two years. The environment is conducive to working adults and various schedules. The career services department is very helpful with job placement upon graduation and does an excellent job of networking.
I think one of the biggest benefits to the student attending a career-based school is the hands-on application of what the student learns in the classroom. Also, the lifetime support of the Career Services Department throughout our family of schools is a wonderful benefit that can be utilized wherever a Delta School is located and also can be utilized electronically.
The greatest advantage of attending a Career focused school, I believe is that they tend to work closely with employers who guide/contribute to the training and curriculums that the students are exposed to while they are in school. Career Schools are excellent at marrying practical skills training with on the job knowledge (or market needs) which creates immediately employable graduates who require less training by their future employers. When Employers and Career Schools work together, great advancements are made concerning a highly developed and skilled workforce who can ultimately make a sustainable wage for their families.
