I am finding once you have done the student questionnaire and have gone through the online campus tour, the representative and student should be comfortable enough with other, and the representative should already know that the degree program is going to be right for the student, and ready to proceed with the enrollment agreement.
Asking probing questions during the student questionaire can help to overcome and identify any objections that may come into play. This will help the agent to answer those concerns with the prospective student so they feel better about their choice of furthering their education. Also understanding the formal interview is important as it allows the agent to maintain control of the conversation so that rapport and crediability can be built.
