Getting the word out there
Advertsiing is a good way to show the world what you can offer. It's a way for everyone to see a brief synopsis of the programs that are offered.
I think a multi faceted approach to marketing works well. By this I mean talking to the prospective clients such as career fairs, unemployment offices, nursing homes for those STNAs who would like to become a nurs, guidance counselors, etc. The broader the reach, the more opportunities you will have to attract more and a more diverse audience.
Asking for referals has also helped me and the use of social media. Also giving a student great customer service will in turn help you to get referals. "good word of mouth" always helps.
asking for referrals is a great way to ask for business.
What way have you found to be most effective?
A good way to advertise your school is to ask for referrals from current students. Offer study buddies. It has been proven that a study buddy increases knowledge of your course. :)
I completely agree. Marketing & advertisement is very important in order for a institution to be successful.
